Imagine this: You’re nestled in a bed of leaves 20 metres above ground in a palm tree, holding your newborn. Suddenly, you awaken to a growing smell of smoke. Before you can react, flames climb the tree. The smoke thickens. Everything fades to black.

This scene is tragically common for orangutans, our close biological cousins, who share 97% of our DNA. These fires often stem from the relentless expansion of palm oil plantations, palm oil is an ingredient in 50% of our supermarket products and 70% of our cosmetics.

Now, envision an alternative—an oil identical to those in nature but crafted without environmental harm. That's exactly why Levur was founded. Through precision fermentation and synthetic biology, we guide microbes to produce an ethical oil, similar to brewing beer, and are transforming how we manufacture consumer products.

Our vision? Is one of global collaboration and a future where our reliance on unsustainable oils is eliminated, reducing environmental damage and enhancing consumer confidence in your everyday purchases.
